The McDowell county Demo cratic convention was held - here last Saturday, with delegates from every voting precinct in the coun ty in attendance. The convention was called to o&er by Secretary W. M. McNairy Mn J. W. Pless was made temporary chair man and S. Whitten, W. E. Landis and E. H. Dysart tempor ary secretaries of the convention. The temporary organization was made permanent, The convention unanimously endorsed Hon. Lee S. Overman for the United States Senate, D. F. Giles for the State Senate and Michael Schenck for Solicitor. The complete returns from the primary gave Gudger for congress 11.37 votes, Reynolds 8.37, Harrison .72, Merrimon .47, Moore .07.
